
Universal's UCJ wing launch the career of a new female voice, Amy Kelly with photographs, album sleeve and promo videos by Stylorouge.
Guitarist with Amy is James Cooper, who also happens to be a designer at Stylorouge. He also released an album this year, Second Season, which came as a surprise to some of his nine full time colleagues.
Stylorouge were
approached by Cancer Research UK to create the visual campaign for their charity auction of Rock & Pop memorabilia, Sound & Vision, which was hosted in February by Abbey Road Studios. They also acted as mentors to a group of shortlisted would-be marketeers in a project backed by Camden Borough Council surrounding the re-opening of Camden's legendary venue The Roundhouse. Called Buzz it is the initiative of media agency Plush, who saw Stylorouge's multi-media approach as being precisely what they needed to guide the young contestants through the stag
es of their proposed campaigns.
Skin's website gets a further wash-and-brush-up in time for the release of her new album, Fake Chemical State. Her widespread international fanbase makes her an ideal candidate for a news-heavy comprehensive website. Undercut also opt for a Stylorouge re-design of their website and Gledhill are given a helping hand polishing off the sleeve for their debut album Constellations.
By May 2006 though, the biggest news is probably the release of Morrissey's highly acclaimed album Ringleader Of The Tormentors, which is packaged by

Stylorouge and whose tour is augmented by the most extensive range of merchandise the company have seen in some time (the bespoke Tormentor's Cross Medal is already highly prized!). Stylorouge open a second studio in Kent; the workforce is currently one short of a full football team (fourth metatarsal – Miss Sarah Foley standing by on the bench). Viv Dykes still crunches the numbers (whatever that means), Mark H, Jamie, Sharon, James, Mikkel and Michele offer creative stability, versatilty and cultural variety and Anthony provides the same but with the addition of a kitsch pop and heavy metal soundtrack. Thankfully Fran Lima brings maturity and sophistication to proceedings.
So, fast approaching the midpoint of the year and its 25th anniversary as an independent creative company, specializing as it does in that most fickle and yet seductive of all industries – music – Stylorouge holds its collective breath ready for another 25…
